Viper Tree Grates + Planter Bridges in Iron with Rust Conditioner

For the revitalized Plaza Saltillo district in East Austin, our Viper tree grates were crafted in iron and finished with a proprietary rust conditioner to create a warm, weathered look that ties into the area’s industrial character. The treatment provides a consistent, lived-in patina—well suited for this vibrant, mixed-use destination.

We also provided custom planter tree grates and suspension bridges, supporting the project’s walkable layout while protecting tree pits in high-traffic areas. Designed by TBG Partners, the six-block development reconnects the neighborhood with community-focused paseos, open space, and access to the nearby transit station.
